Specialist in heating of shops
There are many ways to heat shops. Gas-fired heaters (XR and HR ) as well as water based units (WWH) are good options.
The XR is a particularly good solution as there is no condensate drain required.
HR condensing units have a higher efficiency, a higher comfort level and low noise, however, they require a condensate drain.
Sometimes in shops the flue can be an obstacle. In this situation a WWH units is a practical solution. This range requires a hot water heat source.
An electrical EH heater is also an option. This range only requires an electrical connection. Please be aware of power consumption and price of electricity.
The most sustainable solution is the HR condensing gas fired unit with EC fan technology HR EC . These units also have very low noise, particularly relevant in a shop.
Your options
When to choose for indirect heaters connected to a warm water source?
1. When the area is relatively small
2. When a central heating is also required (radaitors)
3. When mounting in the ceilling
When do you choose indirect gas-fired units?
1. When you require rapid heat up on opening the shop
2. When you want the shop and warehouse to be heated but at different temperatures.
3. When the area of the shop is relatively large
4. When you require a high efficiency, with low running costs and low noise
When do you choose for electric heaters?
1. For occasional heating a small space
2. When there is no gas or warm water available
3. A quick and easy “plug and play” solution
Optimal use of the generated heat
We strongly recommend the use of ACM air curtain units. They can be used over doors or permantly open doors like in shops.
The strong airflow provides a barrier between the inside and outside, both in winter and summer. The ACM units are modules of 0.5 meter and can fit to any door width up to 5 meters.
Control can be either by a door switch, step controller or thermostat.
The strong flow of air seperates the inside and outside in winter and summer time. The ACM units are modules of 0,5 meter and can fit to any door width up to 5 meters.
The control can be either by a door relay or step controller, swith or thermostat.
When the ceiling is greater than 5 meters we recommend to place WCU or Rendovent destratification units to help achieve an equal temperature in the space minimising energy costs. Also, in the summer these units can give a nice cooling breeze (summer ventilation mode).
